Children here face severe health risks, including chronic respiratory diseases from inhaling coal dust and smoke, and physical injuries from handling heavy loads and working in unstable conditions. Deprived of education, these children are trapped in a cycle of poverty.
Despite existing laws, enforcement remains weak in informal sectors. NGOs like Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) and Save the Children work tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate these children, providing education and support to their families. The image serves as a powerful reminder of the urgent need to eradicate child labor and ensure a safer, healthier future for these children.

Chris Russell upside down, mid-way through a switch hand invert at the 2024 Tampa Pro Vert Contest. The trick starts with one hand on the coping of the ramp, the other on his board as he goes upside down. Mid-trick he switches hands so the hand on the coping grabs the board and the one on the board braces for his return into the ramp. I had never seen this trick done before this and haven’t since. I love that it’s caught with no hands on the board or ramp.

This image was taken on the Hooker Valley Track in Aoraki / Mount Cook National Park, New Zealand. While crossing the bridges, you can look down and see the vibrant blues of the glacial water flowing beneath you. The mountains were covered in snow, the grass was beginning to turn from green to yellow, and a few low clouds drifted into the valley.

I absolutely love this photograph. On our way back to our accommodation after capturing some beautiful reflections, we spotted these horses by the roadside. Naturally, we pulled over and approached them carefully. With my trusty 100–400mm lens, I lay down—quite possibly in horse manure—to capture this shot.
One of the key tips in wildlife photography is to get to the animal’s eye level. Doing so creates a stronger connection between the viewer and the subject. Getting low also adds depth to the frame, with the grasses in the foreground gently blurred by the shallow depth of field, further enhancing the visual draw.
Honestly, I’d happily roll around in horse manure if it meant capturing more frames like this. I’m thrilled to have this image in my collection and was even more delighted the moment I captured it.
