Release Notes: Gallery Download Enhancements, June 8, 2026
These new gallery enhancements are designed to create a smoother download experience across desktop and mobile, giving clients clearer visibility and easier access to the photos and videos they’ve purchased.
Gallery Download Status Page (Desktop)
Gallery downloads on desktop now provide clients with real-time visibility from request to delivery.
What’s new:
- Clients receive an immediate confirmation email after requesting a ZIP download (ie. any download of 2 or more images)
- A live Download Status Page shows processing, ready, failed, and expired states in real time
- Clients can download directly from the status page once the ZIP file is ready
- Applies to gallery downloads, favorite set downloads, and e-commerce order downloads
Result: Fewer “did it go through?” messages from clients and a clearer download experience from start to finish.
Mobile Image Download Improvements
Mobile image downloads have been redesigned to make saving photos clearer and easier for clients.
What’s new:
- Dedicated lightbox view for individual image downloads
- On-screen “long press to save” instructions
- Previous and next navigation between images
- Returning to the gallery preserves the client’s previous scroll position
Result: Clients can save their photos more easily without needing extra help or download instructions.
